Everyday Activism 101

Skin Deep Meets Anna Himali Howard to talk creating handmade political pamphlets in the age of the internet and social media.

Anna Himali Howard wanted to do something to help share information with her local community about the people and policy that was affecting them. Frustrated with the feeling of being overwhelmed and overloaded with information, she created these handwritten pamphlets as part of her New Year’s resolution to do one thing everyday to help protect the NHS.

The best part is you can get involved in four simple steps:

1) Watch the video 2) Download Anna’s Defend Our NHS pamphlet here 2) Print the pamphlets out yourself at home 3) Follow these instructions on how to fold them 4) Post them through your own neighbours’ letterboxes

Consider it a top tip for the introverted activist. Of course, this is just one of many pamphlets that Anna is working on. And keep a keen on eye out for the many exciting and important pamphlets to come…
